B&B Details: We specialize in offering family and friends' travel groups exclusive use of our B & B. The 3-bedroom sleeping area is comprised of queen bed, double bed and 2 twin beds. As we do not have ensuite baths, the single, modern bathroom would be shared by the sole travel group. Once you have confirmed your reservation, no other guests would be booked in. Downstairs, there are 2 hospitable lounge areas, one with propane fireplace, as well as a sunny breakfast room and a large screened-in verandah overlooking the Hillsborough River. In the warmer weather, our B&B guests have enjoyed their breakfasts in this verandah. In the evening, this verandah is a perfect place to watch the sun go down while socializing and relaxing with family and friends.

Historic Property: Water's Edge B & B is a charming PEI Historic Property overlooking the Hillsborough Heritage River. It dates from the 1850's and was built during the days of brigantine sailing ships by local shipbuilders. Mt Stewart: Historical Archive Gallery It was then occupied by a local country doctor, Dr. Walsh and his family for well over a hundred years. Hence the historic property name The Walsh Home. Tastefully furnished with many antique pieces, it offers a unique combination of old and modern, with 9 foot ceilings and beautiful original wooden detail.

Attractions abound:

Cycling- We are on the Confederation Trail on the Hunter River to Mt Stewart and Morell section as well as on the Branch route, Mt Stewart to Georgetown. See link to Cycling Adventures.

Beaches, walking and hiking- We are within 30 minutes drive of several PEI National Parks on the North Shore, including the not-to-be-missed Greenwich Dunes with Interpretive Center, parabolic dunes, floating boardwalk and miles of beaches. Even closer, there are numerous local beaches (Lakeside and Blooming Point Beaches are 15 minutes away by car). Cavendish Beach and Anne of Green Gables is an additional 20 minute drive west of the PEI National Park.
